Careers in Public Health
The Health Education East Midlands Postgraduate Medical Education Directorate is based at the East Midlands LETB offices in Nottingham. We are involved with Public Health training, education and workforce development across the East Midlands.
The Public Health workforce can be divided into three groups: Specialists, Practitioners and the wider workforce who work in and outside the NHS. Health Education East Midlands works with stakeholders including Public Health Midlands and East to identify and respond to the local public health workforce needs.
As well as coordinating specialty training in the East Midlands, the team has responsibility for the central recruitment process for England and Wales. The team provides support for the region’s local public health specialty trainees throughout their training programme from induction to completion.

The Health Careers website includes information about more than 350 roles in health (including public health), real-life stories and videos, a course-finder, plus news and events. It is for those of any age thinking about a career in health, and those who’ve already started a career in health and are thinking about their next step.
